Bimetal band saw blade is welded by an electron beam under high vacuum to attach a strip of high-speed M42(8% Co) tooth. The variable pitch design combines regular teeth of different pitches, gullet depths, and set angles for improved cutting and durability.Primarily used for cutting steel, this superior blade can also be used on nonferrous materials, handle solid and interrupt cutting(such as tubing), and provide lower cost per cut on the toughest sawing jobs.

Band saw blades can be cut and welded to any length. When ordering band saw blades you need to supply the following information:
Length of blade
Width of blade
Tooth pitch (Teeth per Inch)
Neither the number of teeth per inch, set or style affect the price. Only the type of material, length and width determine price.
Step One: The Blade Dimensions
Usually specified length x width x thickness and can be found in the machine manual or user records.
Step Two: The Sawing Application
Include in your consideration the following: What material will be cut? What grade, hardness, shape and size is it? Will it be bundled or singular?
Step Three: The Performance
Consider if the speed or the tool life is more important.
Step Four: The Appropriate Teeth Per Inch (TPI)
When selecting the TPI consider the shape, dimensions and type of material to be cut. One should consider the finish as well.
A finer tpi will give longer blade life.
For bundles, select smaller teeth than appropriate for the single unit.
TPI must be correct for hard to cut materials else the blade life will be shortened.
Finer TPI gives better finish
